Back Yard Birds
When my old friend and Labrador ‘Riley’ passed after 14 beautiful years I just wanted to stay home.
My solitude led to taking photographs of birds from the deck of my home in Vienna, Virginia. It became a joy. The ‘Back Yard Birds’ collection features portraits of whatever birds showed up at the time. The birds plumage and the background of the portraits vary with the season. But whatever and whenever, all of these visitors who showed up were a lovely gift of nature.
